ENKU’s trade relationships allow for the improvement of the livelihoods of farmers. With systems like TRACES and Cropster, we are able to
identify solutions and opportunities to meet the interests of our suppliers and buyer communities.
Some of our core elements also include non-discriminatory employment practices, no
child and forced labour,
conditions of employment exceeding legal minimum requirements, and high safety and health conditions.
Our farmers and cooperatives refrain from the use of fertilizers and pesticides. Other focused areas include proper and safe management of waste, maintenance of soil fertility and water sources, and no use of genetically modified organisms.
To further aid in economic development, we also provide training to ensure that the farmers and cooperatives we work with understand pricing terms, the chain of supply and global markets.
